Low down and dirty scoundrels the Coffin Nails are back to put the ‘psycho’ into ‘billy’ with blistering new album ‘The Dead Don’t Get Older’. Veterans of the circuit, this anthem-packed LP is the band’s eighth studio drop and finds them kicking the lid off the death box once more. YouTube favourite ‘Six Feet Under’ is the first track to claw its way to the light with its raucous singalong chorus and live favourite ‘Lady In Black’ is a grinding uptempo bomb. Proto-rockabilly Ernest Tubb has his ‘Drivin Nails In My Coffin’ vehicle transformed into a supercharged V8 hotrod of a track while ‘Fat Love’ proves the boys aren’t always grave men in it’s sensitive meditation on singer Humungus’ bedroom skills. The LP also finds the band reverting to their genre’s roots with a more powerful double-bass sound.

The Riverside Trio
The Riverside Trio first gained popularity in the mid-1980s. When most Rockabilly bands were performing in the more modern 'Neo-Rockabilly' style, the Riverside Trio looked back to the music's roots and played very authentic mid-50's style Rustic Rockabilly and Hillbilly Bop. They were one of the first bands of the period to play as a stripped-down, drumless trio - the way that Rockabilly was originally performed - with the slapped double bass providing the driving percussive rhythm which gave Rockabilly Music its infectious boppin' beat. Indeed, they inspired many bands to follow course, leading to the 'authentic rockabilly' or 'Hepcat' revival of the 1990's. Although The Riverside Trio play Rockabilly music in its purist form, there's no shortage of their own input. Their music is brimming over with the band's own character - in no way are they a revivalist or copyist band. Most of their own songs are written by guitarist Chris Cummings, who is also responsible for recording The Riverside Trio (and many other bands) and perfectly recreating the original 1950's sound on his vintage equipment. 'Gotta Keep Movin' was the second Riverside Trio LP, which included the single 'Desolation Blues', and is issued here on Compact Disc for the first time. We have also added bonus tracks from around the same time, most of which are previously unreleased

The Brazilian psycho scene spawned a luscious rarity in 2006, when three ladies stirred up their own twist on the original style from the early eighties. Even though the big psychobilly bang happened before the zealous damsels themselves were born, As Diabatz resonate as if they were there. These Curitiba cats stray far from horrorpop and double bass driven punk. They rather cling their claws to classic roots, like sinister sisters of the all-girl English cult band Dypsomaniaxe. Prior to As Diabatz playing at the legendary Psychobilly Meeting in Spain, debut album 'Riding Through The Devil's Hill' was recorded in Rotterdam by veteran Marc Burger (drummer for 69Beavershot and Triple Dynamite, to name a few). While boasting an authentic sound, it also includes four songs of the 'Witches Stomp' EP in well improved versions. Goes to show As Diabatz hone their psycho skills faster than the speed of Meteors. The Cramps might say all women are bad, but some bring it on as good as peanut butter and banana toast. Take a King-size bite!
