Brian Setzer collapsed

Former Stray Cats lead singer Brian Setzer was unable to finish a concert Monday night in Albuquerque and then rushed to a local hospital.

An announcement posted on Setzer’s website Tuesday said: "Setzer's brief collapse and hospitalization was the result of dehydration, high altitude and vertigo, a combination that made it impossible for him "to continue his performance at the Isleta Casino after several songs."

A statement on the Grammy-winning twang king's site reads: "Brian has completely recovered and will perform tonight at the Dodge Theater in Phoenix, AZ, and will continue with the remainder of the tour uninterrupted."

The Albuquerque Journal reports that concert goers can get a full refund and have two weeks to collect it.

Little Victor's Cd was nominated as the Best Album
The Blues Foundation in Memphis just published the nomenees for the next Blues Music awards. The CD Little Victor, the blues man from US, did with Louisiana Red last year ("Back To the Black Bayou") was nominated as "Best album" in two different categories.

He already won the "Record Critics' Award" in Germany and the "Grand Prix Du Disque" in France (The equivalent of The Grammy Award) plus lotsa other nominations.

To add some extra information - Little Victor is also produced and played on "Administrator Blues" (Tav Falco's Panther Burns) and Wild Records recently released his new album (sans Red) called "Let's Get High"Have a great day!

Carl Lee Perkins was an American rockabilly musician who recorded most notably at Sun Records Studio in Memphis, Tennessee beginning during 1954. His best known song is "Blue Suede Shoes." According to Charlie Daniels, "Carl Perkins' songs personified the rockabilly era, and Carl Perkins' sound personifies the rockabilly sound more so than anybody involved in it, because he never changed." Perkins' songs were recorded by artists (and friends) as influential as Elvis Presley, The Beatles, and Johnny Cash, which further cemented his place in the history of popular music. Called "the King of Rockabilly", he was inducted into the Rock and Roll, the Rockabilly, and the Nashville Songwriters halls of fame; and was a Grammy Hall of Fame Award recipient.

Crazy Cavan releases a new CD for their 40th Anniverary

Crazy Cavan will be releasing a New CD Box Set Album featuring 40 songs from their Legendary career reflecting a Musical Timeline.


All the favourites are there, plus an additional 15 track bonus CD of previously unrecorded tracks. The collector's item comes with a 30 page booklet co-written with the Band by John Kennedy. The first gig of The 40th Anniversary Tour kicks off at Rockers Reunion, Reading, UK in January. With many more dates already booked in the UK & Europe it's going to be a very busy year for the Guy's! The Album release date will be announced in the New Year.

Cliff Crofford - R.I.P.
Cliff Crofford, co-host of the mid-1950s KBAK-TV show "The Chuck Wagon Gang" and a prolific honky-tonk club performer and movie-soundtrack songwriter, died Sunday, two days after suffering a massive stroke, according to his granddaughter, Danielle Crofford Fetters.


Crofford, who would have turned 80 on Dec. 12, played with Bill Woods' Orange Blossom Playboys at the Blackboard saloon and at various local venues with the Jimmy Thomason Band. He co-hosted the KBAK show with Billy Mize using the Blackboard band, headed by Buck Owens, and was later a regular on "Town Hall Party" and "The Cal Worthington Show," two Los Angeles-based programs.

Crofford also toured with Johnny Cash and Roger Miller and worked for many years at the famous Foothill Club in Long Beach. Throughout his career, Crofford played in three bands, the Orange Blossom Playboys with Bill Woods, the Jimmy Thomason Band and the Beardsley Ball Room. He also appeared at several clubs in Bakersfield, including the Blackboard, the Clover Club and the Lucky Spot. Some of his greatest fame came from his work in movies, that included not only his songs, but appearance in Clint Eastwood's film "Every Which Way But Loose" and Burt Reynold's "Smokey and the Bandit II."

Atomic Sunset je rock'n'roll trio osnovan 2003. u Beogradu. Bend je nesvakidasnja pojava na nasoj muzickoj sceni. Poseduje jedinstven izraz, kombinujucu rockabilly, surf, punk, swing sa modernim rock stilom, a sve u cilju stvaranja novog, jedinstvenog i energentski nabijenog rock'n'roll zvuka. Bend je nastupao vise puta sirom Srbije i Madjarske.

Atomic Sunset je bend jednog od najboljih svetskih slep kontrabasista, Djordja Stijepovica. Djordje je srpskoj javnosti uglavnom poznat kao vodja grupe Havana Whisper i clan grupa koje se bave ocuvanjem tradicionalnog balkanskog izraza, kao sto su Marsya, Shira Utfila, Kal, itd. Proteklih par godina uglavnom svira turneje po SAD sa grupama Head Cat (sa Lemmy Kilimisterom iz grupe Motorhead i Slim Jim Phantomom iz grupe Stray Cats), Deke Dickerson, a redovno nastupa i sa rockabilly legendama kao sto su Scotty Moore band (gitarista Elvis Presleya), DJ Fontana (bubnjar Elvis Presleya) i drugim. Ugledni americki casopis Bass Player je posvetio celu stranu Djordju i Lemmyu u oktobarskom broju.

Drazen Skaric je veteran na srpskoj rockabilly sceni. Vise godina je sa Djordjem vodio grupu Havana Whisper, a zajedno su osnovali i Atomic Sunset. Najnoviji clan benda je Atomic Alek (Soulfly, Bloodbath), poznat kao dugogodisnji bubnjar jedne od najpopularnijih srpskih rock grupa Eyesburn.

Debi album "Hot Rods & Pin-Ups" je objavljen krajem 2007. za kucu Automatik/Mascom Records (Warner) za exYU prostore i u SAD za kucu Ceklin Music. Dostupan je sirom sveta preko zvanicnog sajta grupe (www.atomicsunset.net) i preko glavnih sajtova za digitalnu distribuciju poput Itunes, Rhapsody, Digstation i sl. Spot snimljen za naslovnu numeru se uveliko vrti na TV stanicama sirom zemlje.
